I didn't like it that much because I am older for this book

I think this book is about a little girl that is two faced, she can be a little brat, but she can also be a nice person. Libby learns that all people are can be like that. Libby and Matilda become friends and I kinda think that it was qwrong the Libby treated her mean like that, but I guess in a way Matilda derserved it, but instead of being mean she should've told her instead of being rude to her.

"A girl that mooches off of her friend."

This Book is about two girls that are friends. One name Matilda and one name Libby. Libby is always letting Matilda use her art supplies ,gives her a quarter for ice cream, lets her ride her bike, and lets her use her clothes. Libby is getting tired of Matilda using all of her things. Now libby is trying to ignore her so she doesn't ask to use her stuff. But one day when the teacher made Libby and Matilda partners she gets sick and goes home. Then Matlida came to visit her and she thought that Matilda wanted to use her book ,art supplies,or ride her bike. She only came over to give her a get well card and brought cupcakes. They became friends and had a picnic.

School Library Journal Review

"Libby suspects that her friend Matilda is a moocher. She loves to ride Libby's bike, borrow her favorite socks, and she always needs to borrow a quarter at lunchtime. Libby starts avoiding the girl, going home from school "sick" so that she won't have to be Matilda's class-project partner. But when her friend visits, Libby remembers why she likes her, particularly Matilda's friendly way of making her feel better. This lighthearted story is whimsically illustrated with gouache and pen-and-ink in brihgt pastles that feature cartoonlike characters in a suburban setting. The varied layout keeps pace with the funny and precise text (a well-done first from an experienced illustrator), and although Matilda's mooching is never actually confronted or resolved, readers might be inclined to be as forgiving as Libby is of her friend. An easy, crowd-pleasing read-aloud." --Nina Lindsay, Vista School, Albany, CA
