This book is a recommended buy by Tappan, probably the leading massage therapist educator in the world, in her textbook Handbook of Healing Massage Techiniques. There is not a lot out there for medications and massage. For obvious reasons, the risk of injuring someone is very great. There are some excellent massage therapy books like the Massage Therapist Companion and the LWW series or Mosby series pathology books that help with contraindications, but this book is unique. That being said it really should be updated every few years by the publisher to include medications that have been added or discontinued. Pharmacy is a very fast paced field and a good pocket reference of pharmacology would be a nice addition to this book for your desk.
