MAN DOWN
A Catcheside Universe Military Thriller
Deep inside Afghanistan's remote Darqah Valley, a British SAS reconnaissance team vanishes without a trace after sending a final transmission reporting their position compromised, taking fire, and a possible leak before the radio falls silent.
Within hours, Alpha Team, led by veteran operator Gunner, is deployed into the valley to locate the missing officer and uncover what went wrong. Their objective lies inside a heavily fortified training compound controlled by ruthless Taliban warlord Qari Zahir al-Farooq, a rising commander building an army deep in the mountains.
What begins as a straightforward recovery mission quickly unravels when Alpha Team discovers the truth behind the disappearance. The valley is not just hostile terrain; it is a trap, and they have walked straight into it.
Cut off, outnumbered, and fighting for survival behind enemy lines, the team is pushed to its limits as the situation collapses around them. With ammunition running low and the odds stacked against them, Gunner is forced to make a call he never wanted to make.
He calls in Bravo Team, led by Master Chief James McIntyre, J-Mac, the only man he trusts to bring them home.
What follows is a relentless battle of machine guns, helicopters, and an Apache gunship as two elite teams fight to break out of a valley determined to bury them.
Because in war, there is only one rule: you never leave a man behind.
Set before the events of Catcheside, this is a standalone Gunner story within the Catcheside Universe that can be enjoyed entirely on its own.
