A useful general book on Macintosh Toolbox Programming
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 23 years ago
I wish I'd picked this book up when 5 years ago instead of off a remainder stand last week. If you need a fast intro to the (now 'unsupported') Mac Toolbox - then this about the best way into it. The basics are all here: events, windows, files, quickdraw, text edit, etc. Unlike MANY other old Mac intro texts, it doesn't just stop after showing some GUI basics but assumes you want to write a real app, that does more than just react to user events. Overall: I found it more readable than Jim Trudeau's intro book (that has something like good coverage) and Dan Parks Sydow who doesn't go far enough in my opinion.
