Love Poems for the Millennium

Poetry. Beginning and ending with pieces titled Home, and moving through, among many other places, Key West, Cairo, Fiesole, Istanbul, Tex-Mex and Sarajevo, this collection of 30 prose-poems, which are at times happily indistinguishable from short-short stories, chronicles a love affair with Gigi through astonishingly wide-ranging world travels. LOVE POEMS FOR THE MILLENNIUM is a poet's atlas. And as coincidence would have it, it happens to be exactly the right tour guide. (--Russell Edson) In Paris, a white poodle named Gigi begs for a bone; in Greenland we learn that in Notre Dame Gigi made a pass at her wrist with a razo; in Berlin we are privy to the cry, Heal me, Doctor Gigi As changeable as the landscape, as chameleon-like as Gigi herself, these poems are a delight of wanderlust and wit. Saddlestapled chapbook.
