Long awaited Love

This is the last book of the Fairytale weddings Cinderella Balls. And the last book I will read of Day Leclaire. Altthough the begining of the book left a lot to be desired by the way Chaz McIntyre treated Shayne Beaumont he never once asks her about why she wasn't at the other Cinderella Balls. Chaz is too busy having a pity party because he has found out he has a daughter Sarita and the child's Grandmother won't let Chaz have the child until he can provide both a home and a mother for Sarita. I'm sure if the tables had been turned and Shayne had surprised him with a child that wasn't his he would have raised the roof. But since he was unfaithful to his Long-Lost Bride, it was okay. It's not until almost the end of the book Chaz is confronted with the fact that Shayne was hurt badly in a car accident and that she was on her way to the Ball with it happened. Even Rafe stepped in to help Chaz see he wasn't the only one hurt when Rafe parted the newlyweds. Rafe is sorry but he soon sees he can't protect his sister for her only true love. This book has a lot of funny parts and Chaz isn't as mean as he pretends, but he is too mean to Shayne for my taste, since he does have a child by another woman.

Great read, a lovely ending.

I've read all this series & love this one the best. I liked the way that every chapter started with the letter Chaz wrote to Shayne every Christmas eve. It showed the real Chaz through those 9 long & lonely years they were apart. I don't think Day could have bettered the ending, it was perfect. I think this is one book I won't forget.

Long-Lost Bride

Back cover reads: Welomce to the Cinderella Ball: come single, leave wed! As if by magic, meet and marry your perfect partner--all on one special night... Shayne Beaumont dressed for the ball knowing she'd never meet a man she loved as much as her ex-husband. It was nince years since she'd been forced to annul her marriage to Chaz McIntyre. She'd never forgotten him, but she'd never seen him again... Chaz McIntyre had no idea who'd invited him to a masked ball. But he soon found himself proposing to a beautiful mystery woman! Only, she turned out to be Shayne, the woman he'd once loved beyond life. They both needed to marry--but could Chaz ever truly forgive his long-lost bride?

So Romantic!

What can I say? I adored this book! It was so romantic, so passionate. I just wished it could have gone on and on. Some of the scenes had me tearing up, but in a good way, if you know what I mean.Shayne and Chaz meet at a marriage ball and marry. They knew each other years ago and her family interfered, so they ended up going their seperate ways, even though they've never forgotten their affair. But now they have another chance, if only she can convince him of that. He also has a daughter and this wicked witch of a grandmother-in-law. There are some really funny scenes with her. This is one of those great stories where he's gone sort of hard and bitter (but not over the top) and she manages to get through to him and make him fall in love all over again. The little girl is darling, but not too cute. And Shayne is wonderful, getting everyone together just in time for Christmas. This is a GREAT story. One of my top ten favorites.I also recommend the book that goes with this one, Bridegroom on Approval. They both take place at the marriage ball, but they're not really connected except for that. I couldn't even tell you which one I liked better. I just finished this one and am still in that "Oh, God, I love this" stage. But the other book left me feeling the same way, so maybe I should write a review for that one, too!
