Slim Down Program works!!!!

I have read many of the reviews on the Larry North Slim Down Program and it seems to me that it depends on your attitude towards begining a new weight loss plan. There is no doubt that this program works 100% and you feel good immediately just by begining the program. The only thing that may hold you back is that you need to prepare for your day or you will mess up. Have in your mind what you are going to eat and plan your day the night before. This is where it may be difficult for people who do not have the money or time to buy a variety of foods which will keep you on the plan. You do not have to eat exactly what he tells you to eat. In fact, Larry advises you to be creative and eat different types of foods. Some people just need some type of meal by meal daily chart to begin the program (which helped for me). Larry tells you that you should not eat a food you dislike, just make smarter food choices. You do not have to go to the gym. If you can do one 60-second work out, that is better than nothing. I work 2 jobs, go to school, and I am married with children. This program worked for me. Get up just 15 minutes earlier in the morning and try to do your few sets of 60 second work outs at home and you are done for the day. I lost 10 lbs in the first 15 days and lots of inches. I was also walking for about 20 minutes in the morning, but you do not have to. You loose the inches first and you can really feel the difference in your clothes. The program is awesome, but you have to 'PLAN AHEAD' and have the money/time to buy foods that you like and will keep you on the program. I tried the peanut butter bar and I wanted to hurl, but I am not much for food bars. You have to eat all day or you 'WILL' cheat. The best thing about this plan is you get cheat meals! After the first couple of cheat meals you learn how to make better meal choices on your cheat meal. Larry North does not make you feel like you failed if you mess up. He just says so what -- Get back on the program. We all cheat, so what. Move on and try to understand why you cheated. Did you forget to plan ahead, are you not balancing out your meal portions, are you not eating enough protein (which may make you crave sweets).It is definately a learning plan which you have your whole lifetime to master. I can not recommend the program enough.

The Best Plan I've Ever Tried!

My doctor recommended the Larry North program, so I decided to give it a shot. What a great day for me! I started slowly as Larry suggests by changing my meal frequency. I began to eat five meals a day. As the weight fell off, I made more changes. I began to try to eat less fat and sugar. During the first 6 months, I lost 55 pounds. As I incorporated more and more of Larry's ideas into my life, I lost more and more weight. To date I have lost 90 lbs. and will continue with this plan forever. This is definitely NOT a diet, but a change in LIFESTYLE! I have re-read this book several times and keep it nearby for inspiration! Thanks, Larry! I also have his book, Slimdown for Life. It is great too!

Losing Weight is easy at last!

I never thought I'd lost 20lbs, which I had been trying to do for several years,but I did it all thanks to Larry North. I feel better and healthier then I ever have before and I enjoy cooking everything in the book. I made a banana pudding ala Larry and served it to friends, they had no idea that it was part of a slim down diet and they were astonished when I told them about it and how easy and simple it was to make. I am now exercising each day. I'm 65 and never felt younger!

WONDERFUL!

It works! I feel terrific! I'm thinner. The food's good (I've added lowfat recipes from new cookbooks), my energy is great, and the 60-sec. exercises can be accomplished at work. Larry North understands that the lives of working people are about something other than losing weight. I bought the "Great American Slimdown" package after reading the book. The tapes are down- to-earth and a quick listen as I get ready for work.Buy the book; it's worth every penny.

Finally!, someone has stopped the insanity!

Only being 22 years old, I have been on numerous programs, and have read numerous books on "weight loss". I had it all wrong! I needed to increase muscle not use it as fuel! This book is simple, straightforward, and an invaluable tool to help you succeed in slimming down. Larry doesn't sugar coat things by telling you that you will lose x amount of pounds or inches in x amount of time. He simply tells you it will work, even if you only follow this program half way, he says you will see results. And you will, Larry sets forth an abundance of at home excercises, and in the gym excercises. If you are going to trust anyone with your excess and be a success, then you have make it Larry!
