ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dr Thulelah Blessing Takane is an education specialist and holds a PhD in Primary Mathematics Education with Wits University. She is the founder of Destiny Stars Foundation, an organisation which focuses on interventions in numeracy, literacy and finding purpose. Her passions also include community development, mentoring of youth and teachers. She has a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of working experience in the field. She has completed a Post-graduate Marketing Management course. She has obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Masters in Primary Mathematics Education. She is a recipient of the Mamokgethi Phakeng Award for the most distinguished black woman Masters student in the field of mathematics education and a winner of 3 rd prize in the First National 3 Minute Thesis Competition held at the University of Free State in 2015.
