Excellent text and reproductions

The description for the book says everything essential. I only want to add that this is a very inexpensive book for the quality of the text and images. It is also very large, so it is something that appeals even to non-specialists who enjoy contemplating the icons and their meanings. I strongly suggest this book as an introduction to the Orthodox doctrine and use of icons to honor the saints and worship God.
