This book of poetry was born out of love, healing, hope, and patience that married frustration, stress, depression, and the compromise of living with a chronic illness. After years of painful needles pulling blood from my veins, tears, and fleeting sorrow, the time came for my care team to pull the trigger on some serious medical treatment.
Through pain, fatigue, and thoughts of giving up, I found courage and determination to endure this difficult situation through prayer and writing. I read the Bible to comfort my spirit, and I wrote poetry to confront my struggles. This gave me a powerful sense of mindfulness, allowing me to find inner peace.
