This book of poetry was born out of love, healing, hope, patience, frustration, stress, depression, and the compromise of living with a chronic illness. After years of painful needles pulling blood from my veins, the time came to pull the trigger on serious medical treatment. Through constant joint pain, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, and thoughts of giving up, I found courage and determination to confront this difficult situation through prayer and writing.
I read the Bible to confront my illness. This gave me spiritual awareness, allowing me to write down my thoughts and find comfort. The poems in this publication represent a scattering of feelings throughout my ordeal. Some may say these words are very optimistic for someone going through health challenges. But that is exactly how I felt (most times) when I anchored in the Lord.
