Levan Thumps encourages reading

I know all the rage today is for Twilight, but this was the first book which really got my daughter, who did not enjoy reading, to really read and then want more. We have all of the Obert Skye books and she has read then twice, at least. I must admit I tired a little of her coming to me and providing a recap of the chapter she read, but it told me she was really reading and absorbing. Yes she has expanded her reading, but she still likes the Levan Thumps series the best.

This book will blow your mind! This book replaces every other book on the shelf! I had a tremendous time reading it. (which was about a week.) It's a real page turner. If you have a real taste for action, romance, friendship, and where the enemy goes inside your head, then this is the perfect series for you. I know I loved it!

I'd expect the series to go out with such a blast

I think I'm actually in the 4.5 star area. As another reviewer mentioned, some things did not feel all that complete. But... it was too good for a mere 4 stars. Either way, it's still a darn good read. Obert Skye certainly has an imagination, more so than many other fantasy authors out there, and he easily weaves a wild, chaotic, and surprisingly funny world that is astounding. It's even the same when it takes place in boring ol' Reality. This book does not have a solitary slow moment (though I still think it avoids the opposite crime of being rushed). It's a solid story line bursting with creativity and suspense. The characters are as solid as always. I'm thrilled to hear another Foo series is in the works because I found myself very sorry to leave everyone. Yet the characters aren't just wonderful and solid... Skye has quite the character interaction going on. In fact, I think that character interaction may actually be what drove this book for me. "The Ruins of Alder" is an excellent ending to a very fine series. It has all the comedy, adventure, wacky chapter titles, and the high bang-out I expected.

Still reading, but I'm very tranced. Obert Skye seems to always take turns not expected at all! I love how he gets me all wrapped up in one character, but then takes me to another character and I get all wrapped up in that one as well. Love all of Leven Thumps books, I definitley recommend!

Fan-Freekin-Tastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As always I was blown away by this most recent installment of Leven Thumps. I've gotten into this set so much that it has taken my coveted space on my bookshelf next to my Twilight, The Immortal Nicholas Flammel, and Harry Potter sets! I deff would recommend this series to everyone who likes fiction books with a little bit of magic and wonderment! Trust me you'll love it all. You'll love Foo and all of the extraordinary creatures who live there. You'll also fall in love with Clover, Geth, Winter, and especially Leven! You have to read this series!!!!!!!!
