Leven Thumps series

I've listened to all 3 boooks and I love them. Good fantasy that is family rated. I'll keep them for my kids.

Fantastical

This is the third book in the Leven Thumps series. It has qualities similar to Harry Potter and pulls you into the story. You won't be able to wait for the next book to come out.

enjoying this book and other two in series...harry potter type...but takes too long to get ideas across....where i would rate h. p..A+ this series i would only rate as C okay..but not as good as others i have read....betty green

I absolutely love the Leven Thumps series of books, and was thrilled to discover that Book 3 of the series did nothing to damage my feelings for the previous volumes. If anything, it made me love them all more. In Book One of this series, Leven Thumps made his way to a magical world known as Foo, where dreams ARE reality. In Book Two, Leven helped his friend Geth journey across Foo to change back into his real form from the tiny toothpick he had become. And here, in Book Three, EVERYTHING happens. Leven meets the Want--the half-crazy sort-of-ruler of Foo, who sees humanity's every dream. Geth discovers he's shrinking, because part of him is missing.... A secret that threatens the existence of Foo gets out. The entire realm prepares for war. Leven's former guardian, Terry Graph, discovers a bizarre and powerful robe. The dangers of Foo begin leaking into reality. And a great evil, hidden beneath the soil, begins to reveal itself. This book is funny, surprising, and well worth the wait. Its ending is terrific, unbelievably shocking and exciting, and makes the entire book worth it. There are a lot of young adult fantasy books being written today, spawning in the wake of the HMS Harry Potter, but not all of them deserve the time they take to read. This one, however, the saga of Leven Thumps and the world of Foo, does. This one is great. This one, you should buy.

Fast paced and fun addition to a great series!

I think this is the best book in the series so far. I know book one got alot of critical acclaim. That was well deserved, but it really only set the stage for the books to come. Book two took us into an entirely new world with new characters that I admit took awhile to get to know. Book three explodes out of the gate and does nothing but pick up speed from there. I literally could not put this book down until it was finished. If you haven't read the first two books or read one and not two, stop reading this and pick them up. You will need that knowledge to get this one, but you will not regret reading book three. It's a thrill ride with lots of twists and that classic dark, dry humour that we have come to expect from Obert and this series.
