An absolute delight!

We've all been taught that a written note thanking the gift giver is appropriate and this well-bred woman crafts a tactful note even when the gifts are somewhat confusing and perhaps not entirely appropriate. Eventually however, the gifts overwhelm her and the task of the note(s) falls to her secretary. This book is not age-specific; my children enjoyed it every bit as much as my parents (and me too!). I hope that it goes into another printing; the book deserves it.

A light-hearted look at a well-known Christmas song

The author writes her thankyou letters for the gifts received in the song "The 12 Days of Christmas". This would be enjoyed by the whole family as everyone knows the words of this well-known counting song. It is cleverly written and charts the increasing desperation of the astonished recipient.The ending is a stroke of pure genius! This book is a "must" for the festive season and seen first by me when our own children were small and we were browsing in our local library. The illustrations are also beautifully done.
