One of the most magical stories of childhood....

And it's not really magic at all! Just Mother Nature! I always found this book to be a little scary. Is that ridiculous?? When the child is running from the leaf which follows him home from school, I somehow thought it was a little spooky. It's a wonderful book to get kids excited about fall. It also has great illustrations. I am an avid kid's book collector and this is most definitely part of my collection. My nieces love it, and so do I. The "language" and "feeling" of older books is so different from that of books of today...many of which are sarcastic and gross or just cliche. I like the books that take a simple topic (such as leaves) and turn it into something fun and interesting. It gives our kids a chance to take a second look to find something fascinating in the world which we sometimes take for granted.

A Book Worth Remembering

My parents enrolled me in the Parents Magazine Press Book Club when I was an infant. Leaf Magic is one of my favorite books from this club. I still have my original copy and am going to order a used copy for my Mom, who says it is also one of her favorites. She can remember reading it to me. I am now 32 and enjoy it just as much as when I was a young child. Get yourself a copy. You won't regret it!

My daughter just entered kindergarten and came home telling me about this book.She loves books,but this one seems really special to her. I would love to get her a copy.

A darling book I remember from my childhood. I am now a teacher and wanted to read it to my kids, and am very disappointed it's out of print. If you can find a copy, I highly recommend it. Beautiful illustrations, and very cute story!
