trip down memory lane

This book was very popular in Europe in the second half of the 70s. It is the introductory story of how Barbapapa found Barbamama. It is beautifully illustrated, cute, and very kid friendly. After my Mom (accidentally) gave away this book after my little sister grew up, I asked for it for Christmas. My hubby recognized one of the drawings - he had seen the book as a child also. I have yet to show it to a 2 year old who does not immediately fall in love with Barbapapa. And, as an adult, I notice some subtle commentary which escaped me as a child! An added bonus! I still love this book, and glad I get to share it with my daughter. I don't even mind that she has asked for this story every night for the last 10 nights.
