Required Reading

It is essential for all gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered individuals to know their his/herstory. It becomes even more important to know where to look, for this is history not taught in high school. Gay-straight alliances need to encourage, if not demand an awareness of the roots of the gay rights movement in order not to be co-opted by the mega-corporate establishment. This book is a beautiful collection of thoughts, essays, articles and deep analysis created by well-known and almost "disappeared" icons in the his/herstory of gay rights. Get this on your bookshelf.
