BETWEEN A COP AND A THIEF

When Tian and Drei arrive at the city of Yekacherin, they unknowingly get caught in the middle of a ongoing battle between the domineering dominatrix "Queen" Anna Nordinal, the big busted commander of the city's security forces, and the infamous thief Nagi. Seeing as how Anna saved their lives from some angry thugs, and also, because they're short of food and money, Tian and Drei agree to work for Anna, or more precisely, become her slaves! In addition, they have their own score to settle with Nagi, who stole some invisible armor from them. But they don't reckon on Nagi being a folk hero to the poor, much like Robin Hood. You see, a corrupt local businessman named Marco has been slowly squeezing all the small shopkeepers out of business and has become the city's unofficial ruler. He's not worried about the middle class and poor. He's just worried about making a buck. This third volume begins to restore the comedy that was missing from Volume 2 with mixed results. There are some genuine social issues and drama here but it never goes quite totally serious. I had almost given up on Last Fantasy after the last volume because Creative Hon was trying to make a satire/spoof into a serious action title which totally went against the concept with which it was conceived. So Volume 3 is a mixture of both which worked out fine. There are some really hilarious moments along with some tragic ones. The art is still great but seems a little less detailed than before.
