Lacamas Regional Park is a forest oasis in Camas, WA. At the end of the last Ice Age, over 12,000 years ago, a series of massive floods (sometimes called the Missoula or Bretz Floods) shaped the Columbia River Gorge and the surrounding area. This forest includes three waterfalls, Round Lake, Lacamas Lake, Lacamas Creek, and many kinds of trees, plants, insects, birds, and other small creatures. This book is a collection of meditations and reflections on Lacamas Creek by Jacob D. Salzer. More observations can be found on the author's profile (jsalzer) on the iNaturalist app.
