Uniquely cute hat patterns

I bought this book for the beret featured on the cover (It's the only one I could find anywhere.) It turned out really well and even better after I looked closely at the pictured and noticed that they had put a thin elastic cord behind the picot edge (it doesn't say to do this in the instructions :( .) About half the book is for socks and booties (I'm not keen on socks as is, but some of the booties are neat.) But the beret pattern plus a striped stocking cap and cute (not fuddy) jester hat are all I need to keep me happy with the book. But I especially love the intro, which has very helpful info and tips that should be included in every basic how to knit book, but are somehow overlooked, i.e. how to weave in the ends without using a needle and how to hide color jogs and changing colors. Overall, this book was worth the money, especially for less than the cover price.

well, how cute is this!

I first looked at this book, not expecting to find anything new but I was truly pleased with this book. It has a lot of different styles from the basic socks that I love to make for newborns to a number of more stylish items like hats. I have to be honest, I'm not into that too cutesy-cutesy baby stuff but this book has a high cute factor without make the baby look silly. Your choice of yarns and colours used with determine how trendy your baby will look.Good value for the money: a lot of patterns for hats, booties and socks. Wide range of sizes, so you have lots of choice. Most are styles that suit girls, but if you are knitting for a boy, you will still be able to find some good patterns.
