A suspense-filled read!

A human life is valuable beyond reason. And Detective Lieutenant Rebecca Frye's team is determined to remind someone of just that fact. Readers are Served by This Author

In this fifth book of the Justice series, Rebecca Frye and her cohorts are after a mole in the police department who is alerting the bad guys to the planned actions of the police. Frye and her team have to find the mole, but who can they trust except each other? Whether you read Radclyffe's series books or you read one of her stand-alone romances, you can not go wrong. I have been reading lesbian fiction for many years, and can honestly say that I have never come across a writer that has so affected me. Her characters are strong, intelligent, and romantic. Naysayers will say that Radclyffe's characters are too perfect almost never flawed - either in looks or character. That may be true, but aren't you tired of the genre's penchant for ordinary? Radclyffe's characters are always enchanting, intoxicating, enticing, and intense. The stories, particularly in the series books, are all first class. Most of her series books are page-turners. And in two of the books, I actually turned to the last page to make sure that the main characters survived - something I never do. Radclyffe let us believe, at least for the duration of each of her books, that the grand passion, the true love, the happy-ever-after are all possible. She lets us believe that being a strong, intelligent woman does not mean that we will be alone and/or isolated. The only caveat I have is to read the series books in order. And if you enjoy watching a writer grow, then read the non-series books in the order they were written and watch Radclyffe's talent grow before your very eyes.

Golden Crown Literary Society Award Winner!

WOW - Tremendous thriller with all the romance you expect from this author If possible, this series gets better with each novel (although it's not necessary to read the previous novels you will want to because the characters are so compelling). This is a fast paced, beautifully written story that once you start you won't want to put down. Wonderfully atmospheric, you really feel like you are on the streets of Philadelphia. This is my favorite of Radclyffe's series which is saying alot as I have enjoyed and have kept all her novels. This is a Keeper ! Explosive Action. Best in the Series

Once again Radclyffe delivers a crisply written, fast-paced story with Justice Served. This book serves up twists and turns and keeps us guessing until the final explosive ending. Justice Served, the fourth in the Justice series, begins where Justice in the Shadows ends. Police officer, Dell Mitchell is recovering from her stab wounds that she received trying to take down an internet porn ring. Detective Rebecca Frye's team is a little closer to finding who is at the bottom of her partner's and another officer's assassination, but at every turn, the suspect seems to be one step ahead. Cyber sleuth JT Sloan discovers that there is a leak in the department, but as the team pursues that suspect, he is killed. Organized crime is somehow involved. The Port Authority turns up some clues, and the sex clubs are definitely mixed up in the crimes. Frye's team has all these pieces that they must tie together, and as they hurry to solve the crimes that are piling up, more people are getting killed. In Justice Served, Radclyffe is a master at weaving several complicated plots together, keeping her readers in suspense though not confusing them with extraneous details. And she does not forget the romantic subplot either. The romance flows naturally with the storyline as Radclyffe explores all of the characters' love lives. Even the gruff Watts, Frye's partner, develops a love interest. Radclyffe's characters come alive. They are passionate about their careers and their lovers. They are honorable too. Throughout the plot, members of the police task force struggle with ethical issues, but there is no preaching on these pages. Her characters also originate from all walks of life and through them, we learn about different lifestyle choices whether it be a transvestite or prostitute. Sandy and Michael have a very real and sensitive conversation on why Sandy became a prostitute and through that conversation, Michael understands Sandy better and reserves no judgment. These are characters we want to get to know. We want them in our lives, and we want them as our friends. While all of the books in the Justice series are page turners, what gives Justice Served potency is that you can read it without reading the others. Radclyffe gives us the character histories and story backgrounds as she moves the plot along. This naturally flows with the current story. We do not get bogged down with a story we may have already read. She refreshes our memories. Radclyffe claims that this is the last book in the series, but the ending leaves this reader wanting more of Rebecca Frye's team. Even Frye says, "That's what police work is all about. The story never really ends."

Fantastic Wrap Up For This Series (or is it really the end?)

This book is really the fifth in the Justice series -- that is if one includes the pseudo prequel 'A Matter of Trust', in which Radclyffe introduces JT Sloan, Michael, Jason/Jasmine, Sarah and other characters. Although many series tend to get boring, this one gets better with each book. And, because it ties up all the loose ends from the previous plots, 'Justice Served' is an absolute MUST READ for anyone following this storyline (or anyone simply interested in a good book). As usual, Radclyffe does a fantastic job breathing life into and giving depth to her characters. I almost expect to run into Mitchell at our local nightspot. The reader can't help but fall in love with Sandy and forget about her current profession. Sloan is finally able to exact revenge for the attack on Michael; Catherine finally convinces Rebecca her love is real and deserved; even Watts finally gets a chance at romance. What's even better about this book is, even though the earlier stories seem wrapped up, Radclyffe sets things up for another possible sequel by introducing some new mysteries. As for sequels and series, this is the absolute best on Radclyffe's bookshelf. WOW!!!
