Destitute in the desert, Jos is resigned to a life of solitude and poetry until one day the bank comes knocking. Left with almost nothing, Jos decides to honor his late Mama's wishes and travels to America to make it big. After a chance encounter with a television repairman in a saloon shootout, Jos and his new friend strike upon an idea that makes them millionaires: putting a sombrero and maracas on a cactus.
