Vintage Isleton

It fine photo book on this California Delta farm community is a joy visit. It devotes Chapter 4 on Hard Work and the Tong, the Tong building is still there but turn into a gift shop. Recent visit collected and confirmed the book with a tour of the back kitchen. P.93 showed the parade of WW II Chinese-American veterans in the Asian Festival. This is a good book to read and understand the Chinese laborers in this town.
