Is the right to education a utopia?

The discussion on human rights is currently on the agenda in all areas of our society, including schools. This discussion brings us back to the concept of the human being, the law and the ideal of society. I define the human being as a relational being who cannot exist without the other. This idea makes the existence of the other conditional on the existence of each individual. In this way, the human being is seen as a person in solidarity, a condition in which guaranteeing the rights of one person means guaranteeing the rights of others as well. These rights come to be understood within a collective ethic. This means that it is the others who will help us to say what is right. Thus, education focused on the ethical dimension - necessary for the integral realization of man - has been displaced in favour of the technicism that dominates modern society.
