I actually liked it...loved it!

This was the first Robin Cook book I ever read and I loved it. I have read others from him since then and I loved them even more. Well, except Abduction, it was ok. I prefer the ones that involve Jack and Laurie.

thrilling

Wait -- don't pick up that shiny black rock. This thriller is more of a science fiction alien invasion story than a medical thriller, involving a worldwide takeover from outer space. The aliens are out to change mankind, perhaps for the better (?). But nevertheless, the human instinct is to resist the invasion -- that is, those few remaining uninfected humans. Are there enough left to save humanity? Comparing this book with other outer space takeover attempts (Michael Crichton's Prey comes to mind), I would say this one is a winner. I found it captivating, easy to read, and a page turner I couldn't put down.

Invasion is Brilliant

I have been a Robin Cook fan for a long time, and I think that this book was the best by far. I read this book in about two days because it was so brilliantly written and the storyline was great. It was a classic medical thriller with an X-File type background. I enjoyed it emmensely, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a fast-paced book to read.
