Awesome book

This is the perfect book for the maker who wants to move from building circuits of manufactured components to making your own components. The author explains the physics and electronics for each device and then proceeds to build one or several of each including: microphone, balance beam amplifier, transformer, vacuum tube (about half of the book is spent on assorted vacuum tube topics), point contact transistors. An awesome book.
