A bit monotonous but still a good story

Tam Clarkson, new girl in the city, hasn't had the opportunity to meet many new people yet. Luckily for her, a friend at work introduces her to the Sisters of the Booty, where she makes a few new friends who try to shed some adventure on her non-existent love life. This group of gals has invented their own unique dating service with the use of business cards and a glass boot which serve as a pre-screen. Just because a guy wasn't right for one woman, doesn't mean he wasn't meant for another. If he doesn't work out, but has potential, add him to the booty call! Tam ends up having a blind date with Kyle Sullivan, who happens to be gorgeous, free spirited and on the wild side. What more could she ask for? Unfortunately, Kyle is a bit shallow and ditches her before even getting to know her. So who then, is the handsome fellow she knows as Kyle and goes from having a casual drink to sharing such private intimacies with? When wanting just a few nights of each other leads to more passionate feelings will she be able to overcome her fears of the past enough to involve herself in a secure relationship or will she remain determined to keep her freedom? When Murphy Sullivan is finally forced to confess his secret can Tam find it within herself to forgive him or will this misleading and betrayal set her back to seeking that insecure freedom once again?

wonderful match up

In San Francisco Tamara Clarkson is looking for a good time with a hunk, who will understand that she just wants a short fling not a lifetime of commitment as she fears deep relationships. At the Sister of the Booty, she finds an interesting display in which a glass boot contains the business cards of male rejects. She randomly selects a name, Kyle Sullivan, a carefree good time person who she arranges to meet on a blind date. However, on the night of the date irascible Kyle finds he has something else he would rather do than be a less than perfect fox so he stands up Tamara. Appalled by his insensitivity, his cousin Murphy shows up to take out Tamara. Though he tries to pretend to be carefree, his serious conscientious demeanor keeps breaking through; to her shock Tamara finds she is attracted to this dependable person. The Murphy-Tamara team is a wonderful match up as he takes life seriously while she is a carefree soul; at least that is what appears on the surface. As they begin seeing one another, both absorb some of the qualities of the other making them a more rounded person. Though the rationalization provided by Tamara as to why she avoids deep relationships seems hokey at least to this armchair psychologist, readers will enjoy Murphy's efforts to show her differently.
