3 1/2 stars - a nice little romance for a rainy day

My thoughts: The plot seemed interesting. As mentioned in the back cover, the heroine blamed the hero for ruining her parents marriage. So she proceeds to lambast him. As payback, the hero begins a fake marriage/engagement of some sort, Japanese style. I'm a japanese anime/drama, etc. fan, so I'm like haha, and I kinda knew about most of the customs the Japanese have and the book also made mention of various japanese words, etc. However, I felt the pacing was a bit slow. I actually started reading the book, then stopped to do some household duties, then read the continuation and finished the book throughout the week. With some books, I'd read the beginning and just HAD to read the whole thing right away. With this book, I wanted to know how it all will end but I didn't feel the urgency to finish it that same day. Nonetheless I still enjoyed the book. The heroine was feisty, heck she had to be since she proceeded to engage the hero in their little game/war. The hero was your semi usual rich, arrogant hero. Of course we find out later that the heroine got it wrong (awwww!) Although I'm surprised to read that the heroine had no qualms about living in Japan - I guess that's where they're gonna settle. I was also a little sad that the parents didn't seem to care about their daughter as much 0_0 It's one of those parents love each other so much, almost to the exclusion to their daughter. No biggie to the story, but I was just like, sheesh! Poor daughter! Anyhow, an enjoyable read but I wouldn't say its my favorite book or anything.
