Kids love this book about doggie love and companionship

The Doris Day Animal League recommends this book for young dog lovers. Appropriate for ages 3 to 8, or anyone who Really Wants a Dog, it is a great young reader book, too. The illustrations are light hearted and show a range of dogs --through their variety of behaviors-- for adoption. We know how important matching an owner's personality to their dog's is! The story incorporates daydreaming--represented by a big cloud dog-- as part of the ability to make decisions. It not only introduces dog care, but engages the owner-of-a-dog-to-be in being a responsible pet owner and companion. Every SPCA and animal shelter should give this book away with every adoption.
