A superb guide to learning to make decisions that are personally right for a young girl in an ever c

The book offers a young girl the information she will need to face the challenges of growing through her teen years to adulthood. She will be enabled to make choices that are right for her personally, and do so with confidence. My niece is going to use this book as a project for her Girl Scout Troop of twelve 13 year olds and follow it up with a "fashion show" for other Scout Troops and family. The book contains information young girls can easily apply to their personal style and personality, and be confident as they face whatever "Pageant" life puts before them to compete in....
From a father's point of view

What a book! Guys like me -- a single dad raising two girls who fancy themselves beauty queens - aren't really equipped to tell our daughters about the finer points of being female, nevermind about being a contestant in a pageant. The girls read it and then told me I "had" to read it so I could "get it". Well, I read it, and I admit a lot of my fears about pageants were laid to rest, but more importantly even the girly stuff made sense to me. It's a good feeling to know I can help my girls along their way in pageanty without missing a beat - or missing out. I applaud this book for how helpful it is for any girl interested in creating a better self.
Great even if you're not competing

I purchased two books, one for my neice and one for my secretary's daughter. There are basics for beauty and poise that will benefit both of them, even if they do not compete. I recommend this book for all young girls out there. We all should feel like beauty queens.
Wonderful Starting Point for Pageanteers

I have been competing in pageants since I was little, and reading this book at my friend's house was great. I had introduced my best friend to pageants when she was 12. I got her the book and she read it. Later, she won Jr Miss All American. She felt great and told me to read it,too. I picked up so many details to help me in my next competition. Even as a "veteran" pageant contestant, it gave lots of hints and helped in some of my questions about competing in differently styled pageants.

This is a wonderful book that all teen age girls should read. It is full of wonderful ideas on how to be the best that you can be. The importance of being proud of who you are is stressed over and over again. Goal setting and attitude are discussed. The book gives many practical suggestions on how to look your best using color and style, and how to establish your own identy. A great handbook for all teen age girls and their mothers.
