For every black man

This book is highly recommended for those who are seeking a how to have a fulfilling life with their woman. This book is not what you think it is about. A list of rules on how to pamper, feed, and love you woman. This book is about how you as a man need to learn how to deal with the type of person you are when seeking a man and learning how to undo some of those things. I am not giving anything away. You have to have an open mind. Because if you're seeking a bashing on black women- then you may just want to look some where else. This is an excellent read. I even bought, How to love a black woman for my husband and we are both reading. A good teaching tool for ALL BLACK MEN

Thank YOU for this BOOK!

Next to Maya Angelou and Iyanla Vanzant, Dr. Elmore has written several books that actually and authentically help African-American men and women understand each other better. There are cultural differences that are not apparent to many other races about Black Love and relationships. Black men and women have historically gone through hell both in the world and with/because of each other. Dr. Elmore helps build a bridge of understanding that goes beyond someone just stating, Respect your Woman or Respect your Man. He actually discusses it and then gives plans of action for (in this case) a Black man to start relating to, loving, respecting, protecting, and nurturing his Black Woman... Young and Old Black Men need this book! Please don't be discouraged-you can learn to love your Black Woman in a way that is WONDERFUL for the both of you! Nuff Said... -ed-

one of the best books that i have ever read ...

When I bought this book -- I honestly thought that it would affirm that most of the things that I knew about relationships was true -- and that I could use it to add to what I already know. But, after reading it straight through -- I realized that there was A LOT that I need to learn -- and A LOT that I need to change about my own personality -- to have the beautiful long-time relationship that I am trying to build right now. I keep this book with me at school -- and I look at it every now and then to keep myself on track with the progress that I am making within myself. Dr. Elmore provides the insight that guys need to have, and has made it easier for me to understand how to give and get the best in a loving and committed relationship! Thanks, Dr. Elmore!!!

EXCELLENT RESOURCE FOR ALL MEN

I am a Black woman. I was very impressed that Dr. Elmore addressed each subject with practical steps on getting started. If you feel like you need a place to start or improve on loving the woman in your life, start with this book. I know it titled for a black woman, but this will get you started for ANY woman. Great job Dr. Elmore. Men I encourage you-no, I challenge you to read this book.

Brothers can Learn to Treat the Sisters Right with this Book

This is an excellent guide for Black men to use to improve their relationships with Black women. As is often the case, us men folk tend to take our women for granted and figure that it's not worth the hassle to work to improve our relationships with them. This book helps in that regard.I'm what is considered a "giver" according to Elmore and have made efforts to let my true feelings become known rather than to keep the peace between myself and the sister that I'm with right now. Indeed, the exercises he recommends call for some level of soul-searching and may make some folk uncomfortable; however, if one is willing to grow and learn in relating to Black women, then this book is for you.Enjoy!
