HOW I CAME TO KNOW GOD is a non fiction autographical Christian social history story which includes fictional characters. There has been incidents where God has directed me to take a certain path which has changed my life.
I was introduced to the bible, Jesus Christ and God by an African missionary. In Sunday and day school I took an interest in Christianity which gave me the belief there was a God.
My story HOW I CAME TO KNOW GOD begins with the birth of Jesus Christ which is witnessed by a Roman soldier and a Roman politician. My story moves through the ages of Christianity from the Anglo Saxons and their Pagan beliefs, the warring tribes of Scotland to the present-day Christians such as Missionaries in European countries then Padres in German and Japanese prisoner of war camps, my own autographical story tells how Christianity came into my life and how it has affected my understanding of God.
The devastation of losing my mother and father within three months of each other when I was only 17 years of age. It was a hard time in my life. I challenged if there was a God why didn't he answer my prayers when I needed him, I became a disbeliever. An army Padre came to my aid and reintroduced me to Christianity once more. There were life changing events in my married life when I needed to believe in God more than ever. Would he help me through one crisis after another this time? or would he desert me again and my beliefs in modern living of today.?
