A great Harlequin romance!

I picked up this book with a bunch of other older Harlequin novels and I'm so glad I did - what a find! Lee Phillips and Trevor Templeton have been friends since college. They're part of a crowd that have known each other since college - Susan (divorced and unhappy), Peter (looking for true love) and Katy and Ben (a couple that the others use as a measure of the perfect couple). Lee has never been successful with romance and Trevor is not looking for anything serious. So Lee decides that the perfect solution would be if they were "friends with benefits." There are so many good things about this book. The dialog is great and the story really starts off with a bang - none of this - let's wait a chapter or two before we get to the heart of the story. The first line of the first chapter has Lee asking Trevor "Why aren't we having sex?" and the fun starts from there. You care about the characters (such that I searched out and am now reading Scent of a Woman which is Susan's story.) And as many of the other reviewers noted, the elevator scene is a hoot - I literally laughed out loud. No, it's not as hot as many of the Harlequin Blaze. But it's one of those stories that was just fun to read, made me care about the characters, and is going on my keeper shelf.

Trevor and Lee-SPOILERS

Favorite scene with Lee-The elevator scene.Favorite scene with Trevor-Having lunch with his mom.Together-Finally telling each other I love you and proposing. What did you like about Lee-Her sense of humor and her wildness, esp. in the elevator. What didn't you like about Lee-Keeping the baby secret from Trevor. What did you like about Trevor-His love for Lee.What didn't you like about Trevor-That he didn't want to marry because of his parents.

Hot, hilarious and well written

I've read dozens of Blaze books, and this is my all-time favorite. Jo Leigh has created two characters who are VERY believable. Her quirky personality and his long-time affection for her land them in the sack. Their first time together is very well written--her hesitancy, his devotion make for a dynamite read. The chemistry between the characters is sizzling, but also lends itself to some hilarious moments just by virtue of who the characters are. The first scene provides the perfect preview for these two characters......"So why aren't we having sex?" she asks. "Because we're in the 'no boffing' section of the restaurant?" Witty writing.

LOVED IT !!!

Back Cover Copy: SHE WAS BOTHERED...Stockbroker Lee Phillips figured she had it all. Great job, gorgeous home, okay body. Hmm, two cats for company and far too many nights sleeping alone. Where was Mr. Right in this picture? Closer than she realized. Her best pal, Trevor Templeton, was VERY appealing. Almost lovable... HE WAS HOT...Trevor thought he had it all, too. Great job, bachelor loft, hard body...and no cats. But to his amazement his best buddy, Lee, wanted to, uh, get naked with him. Correction: make love with him. No, it was too awkward, too tempting...and what if it was too good? What about their friendship then? And what if ONE of them fell in love...? I am soo glad I bought that book. Definitely a keeper!!! Don't miss it!!! It certainly will be one of my all time favorites. I couldn't stop turning the pages until the very last word and the pages turned almost by themselves. You won't be able to put this book down once you get started with page one. It's a fast read filled with great dialogue, hilarious situations and compelling characters. Lee and Trevor had me laugh out loud several times, it is so hilarious. The way she tries to persuade him and the way he reacts to it, is incredibly funny. And since she shared her crazy plan with him, all of a sudden there is a constant sexual tension between them and his brain was barely capable thinking about anything else. This book is definitely out of the ordinary. I even liked all the other characters in this book which I usually hardly do. Jo Leigh knows how to capture the readers attention and refuses to let it go. This is not a book easily put down nor forgotten once finished. Jo Leigh has all my admiration and respect for having the talent to write something so funny and which such intuitional grasp. It is a pure pleasure to read!

Scorching sex, Incredibly funny!

I've been reading Temptations for years, and this book is right up there with my favorites of all time. The elevator scene alone was worth the price! I love it when I really laugh out loud with a book. I was surprised at how much I liked the characters - all of them, and I hope there's going to be a book about Susan.
