A look at Times Past

I read this book in my teens and loved it. It definitely refers to an older time, and modern ladies may find that the "place" of women in the book is disturbing. But it gives an inside look at the society and how that "place" fit in with the families and times. No sex, no foul language, just a look at a more innocent time and the similarities with our own, more jaded time.
