Highlights from The Search for Lives Past
In the 1970s Peter Ramster began to research reincarnation and past life memory after some of his clients, while under hypnosis, spontaneously recalled part life memories that sometimes took them back hundreds of years. Eventually, he put an expedition together which would take him and others to the other side of the world to the countries in which four people recalled past lives. Three of the recalled lives were from previous centuries, and one recalled a life during the Second World War. He assembled a film crew, and together with subjects, they embarked upon a trip that would take them to the countries and places where the subjects of the research recalled living their past lives. It was a test to see what could be confirmed of the recall, to ascertain its possible validity. Once in the areas they recalled, subjects recognised where they were and remembered more facts about the local area in which they lived, and they knew their way in places they had never been. The main features of the lives were documented on film in Sydney before the expedition began, and the film crew continued to shoot footage as everything happened, and as the research took place. The results were extraordinary, with the subjects even knowing short cuts in countries they had never been to. The things that they had talked about under hypnosis when in Sydney were found, and the subjects showed they knew things that were logically impossible for them to know, unless they had actually lived the lives they talked of. One subject took us to buried stones, which we uncovered. The film was edited into a two-hour television documentary that went to air all around the world, and it caused a lot of interest. The entire details of the expedition were never put into that film because it wasn't possible, as the program would have been too long. The original book called The Search for Lives Past was written to make up for that but is out of print. This book gives the main case histories from that book and expedition, including the amazing evidence found for the reality of what was recalled. In essence, they recalled death from previous lives, and travelling to another world where they stayed for a length of time, before returning to Earth. The return to Earth was voluntary and of their own choosing.
