After reading Highlander in her Dreams....I ordered this book and two more. So far not impressed....

In this book Ms. Makay goes around and around inside the character's heads I was so bored but had to read it until the end, to find out what this guy (Alex) was. I guess once you write something so great as Highlander in her Dreams, it is hard to match or to top such an inspiration. I just started Must Love Kilts and already she is jumping to the hot stuff without giving you a foundation to the story.

Hottie Scottie

Allie Mackay ask written a keeper! It should have a 10 rating! I can honestly say she is to be compared to everyone's favorite...Lynn Kurland! Mara McDougall inherits a castle in Scotland (Ravenscraig Castle) and purchases a medieval 4 poster bed...unaware that along with the bed, she now has a Highland Knight. Sir Alexander Douglas, who has been cursed to the bed, by Colin MacDougall, and poor Alex has a hatred for all McDougall/MacDougall's. However, the sparks fly (and do they EVER) and the chemistry is magical, even though they are both in denial. It's a MUST read ! And I must also add, Ms. Mackay's love of Scotland is clearly evident throughout. I promise you, you will love it like I did and I am a critical/picky reader. And the phrase that is now embedded in my brain forever is HOTTIE SCOTTIE! I want one!! I would even leave the kilt as optional...

Can I have one tooo

I would love to have guy like the hero attached to me!! I loved this book! It is about a burned out tour guide, Mara McDougall and a ghostly medieval knight, Sir Alexander Douglas. The relationship between the two main characters starts out rocky. She first sees him in an antique shop while mooning over "his" bed! Sir Alexander before he was murdered cursed him self to remain with the bed that was to be given to his bride a MacDougall! He remains with the bed making sure no Mac or McDougall ever sleeps in it. He has frightened everyone away from the bed but Mara. Instead of being afraid of him she gives him the nickname "Hottie Scottie" not believing he is a ghost. Now this book does have a few problems. One of them is that the story lags in certain spots. It also moves to fast in the one and only bedroom scene. Baring that it truly was a great 1st story effort. Hopefully, we will see one of Sir Alex's ghostly friends in the next book. Personally, I would like to read Sir Hardwin's story. This book is absolutly worth a read.

Sexy Medieval Paranormal

If you like sexy, paranormal contemporaries set in Scotland, you'll love this book! Mackay pens a gutsy heroine who buys an antique bed, only to find she shares it with a ghostly Highlander. A Highlander from an enemy clan from years long past. The chemistry between woman and ghost is hot! Delightfully fun read.
