Loved it!

Highly recommend this book. Pulls you in from start to finish. Jennifer Laurens helped me feel the tangle of emotions, the love and the heartache, and how much isolation, an autistic child can cause in a family. Heavenly is a great story and a powerful read. Just when we think there is no hope, along comes someone in our lives that helps us to be a better person. Matthias should be every girl's dream because Matthias demonstrates unconditional love and expects those he cares for to respect and honor themselves. Don't miss out! This book is worth the time.

Better everytime.

Heavenly is a book that you can read over and over, and still enjoy, every single time. The first time I read this book a couldn't put it down! Everything that the characters were feeling I could feel. Jennifer Laurens has a wonderful way of telling stories and makes me waiting more with each page. I am desperately waiting for the next book, and I know it will be better than the first.

Jennifer Laurens' Heavenly - An Amazing Book!

This book blew my mind. I read it in one sitting, I was so enthralled. It captures so well the struggle of a family dealing with an autistic child, as well as teenagers who abuse drugs and alcohol. I speak from experience when I say that this novel described with perfect accuracy the struggles, heartache, and emotions a family like Zoe's would live through. Her relationship with Matthias is beautiful - fulfilling the need within all humans to be loved for who they are, even with all their flaws and shortcomings. The forbidden love aspect just adds a little spice to the romance - keeping me on the edge of my seat (and often squeaking with teen-girl-ish delight) throughout the entire experience. Also, for readers who are hesitant to embark on a literary journey involving angels - don't let that stop you for a second. No matter one's beliefs, this story is timeless, and one that everyone, without exception, can relate to. Read it. It will lift you up and stick with you long after you've stopped devouring the pages at incredible speeds... :) This is definitely my favorite book by Jennifer Laurens so far, and I can't wait for the story to continue.

A Fantastic Read!

Frustrated with helping to care for her autistic sister and dealing with her pot-head brother, self-destructive Zoe loses herself partying with friends and hooking up with random guys. Her world changes, however, when she discovers her sister's guardian angel, Matthias. The best book I've read in this genre, I could not put it down. Ms. Laurens has written an intensely emotional story that gripped me from the first page. Zoe's growth from selfish teenager to a sympathetic young woman was honest and satisfying, and the romance between Zoe and Matthias lovely. While there are no easy answers to the challenges Zoe faces, this is a story filled with hope

Heavenly read

"Heavenly" by Jennifer Laurens gives us a ray of hope. My most favorite book I've read lately. Wonderful characters. A roller-coaster ride of family emotion that deals with some very sensitive issues. Laurens opens the door to feelings often left unsaid in her portrayal of Zoe, who feels trapped in a family forced to cope daily with the less than normal atmosphere at home. The simplist things become a chore. Overwhelming guilt directed toward her little sister, Abria, who has autism, leaves Zoe drowning her sorrow with the most creepiest black spirits you've ever imagined. Her brother, Luke, isn't much help as he has problems of his own. Some days it's too hard to handle alone. Help arrives in the form of an angel, Matthias, and nothing will ever be the same. Especially for Zoe, who's lost her heart to someone not of this world.
