A reality check for all women

This is a great book that is easy to read, which I found very helpful at this stage in my life. I am a Canadian black female in my mid forties working with a husband and two children, one a teenager and I normally would not find time for myself. I have started following some of the steps in the book and I am seeing the results in just two weeks. The book talks about taking small steps that translate into big rewards and I can say that in my case this is true. I believe that this is a must read not only for Black women and Latinas, but all women.

Required Reading For all Black Women & Latinas

KUDOS to Drs. Mieres and Parnell for dealing with a widely written about subject area but heretofore always ignored this very large segment of the population. While most of the advice in this book applies to us all, the specific advice to Black women and Latinas is extremely helpful and valuable. The book is easy to read, extremely informative and a "must-read" for all Black women and Latinas alike. The advice offered in this book can literally save your life!

Mandatory Reading

This book not only gives information, but it provides an easy three step plan that will lead to a healthier heart and lifestyle. This is probably the most important health related book specific to Black Women and Latinas - - it should be mandatory reading. Excellent!!
