This book is one of the few great health books ever written it’s a must to own. Prices on this website are excellent. I bought two of these and still less then buying one brand new. This edition is over15 years old and still my favorite go to

One Of The Best Ever Seen

Showed this to a friend who has a Master's in Nursing and really smart and she said "It's the best she's ever seen" from one who has a lot of book and studies Nutrition and I agree! I give it out as a Birthday Card. Friends have ordered and given out to their entire families. Should be in everyone's Home Library and don't just use as a reference book, take a Chapter and or Section and read through. 11th Edition is the Best even though own later version. Juicing, Detoxing and Fasting for Life by Cherie Calbom is next as well as Hulda Clark books; Acid&Akaline by Herman Aihara; Fats That Can Save Your Life by Robert Erdmann; Chinese Medicine by Misha Ruth Cohen; No Grain, No Pain by Peter Osborne, Dr. David Perlmutter, Andrew Weil, Joel Fuhrman, Mark Hyman to name a few others and if anyone has great helps please educate. Thank you. P.S. Linda Page's book is easy reading.

ESSENTIAL!!!!

I am ordering Linda's 11th ed. because I have owned her previous book for about 8 or 10 years and worn it out! I have recommended this book over and over for the wealth of info, the in-depth description of the benefits of fresh foods, vitamins, etc., not to mention the page by page of ailments/recommendations.Poor fella that rated this book 1 star...you must be a medical doc or else you just haven't seen the "proof" that the Journal of American Medical Association didn't go out of its way to provide on itself (JAMA Vol. 284 No. 4 July 28, 2000). Accidental deaths, 250,000; unnecessary surgeries, 12,000; medication errors in hosp, 7,000; other in hosp errors, 20,000; nosocomial infections in hosp, 80,000; adverse effects of meds, 106,000. These numbers they indicated were probably LOW!!Now, that makes me thankful I have taken responsibility for my health and not handed it over to the medical community as we know it today! I haven't taken an antibiotic in about 15 years, and I get more strength each year as I learn more about wellness and maintaining a healthy immune response system.Looking forward to your 12th edition, Linda! I'll be waiting and watching, and I thank you for introducing me to a much more healthful lifestyle!

Well Done

I just read a review that called Healthy Healty baloney - and am wondering what the motive for doing so is. This book does not insist that all suggestions are proven to cure a person - it only gives advice. The whole philosophy of holistic health is that we are not treating the symptoms, but the person. If this reviewer had actually read and understood the book they would have had a real idea of what this book was about. I use this book for reference frequently and trust the advice. Because I've actually read the book I know that not all advice will work for every person and it is not the intention of the author to insist that all suggestions will work for everyone. The responsibility lies with the reader to care for themselves.

No Home Should Be Without a Copy

After first encountering this book in my local Whole Foods a couple of years ago, I got my own copy for reference. I can honestly say, it is the most helpful health book I own (and I own a lot).Linda's wise advice has seen me through asthma attacks, ear infections and a nasty bout of depression. She's even helped my husband with his notorious tummy aches. The ailments are listed alphabetically, so they're easy to find even when you're not thinking straight (like when you have the flu). Her treatment suggestions are incredibly thorough and include, herbs, vitamins and lifestyle suggestions. Though it centers on treating specific ailments, "Healthy Healing" isn't just for when you're under the weather. It's filled with great information (including supplement and dietary protocol) to make sure you stay in top form.

Feeling Good Naturally

This is one of the best natural health books I have come across. It touches upon such areas as nutrition, exercise and even foods. It gives specifics on healing for infants thru adults. This book is easy to read and self-explanatory. It identifies how to aid ailments in three catagories; foods, herbs and nutrition. By doing this, it allows you to choose the best method for your body and mind. I would recommend this book to everyone who wants to take a sensible approach to healing. Traditional medicines (antibiotics, steroids, etc.) aid one thing while destroying another. This book will help you learn to feed your body back to good health.Enjoy and here's to your health !

Healthy healing comments

This book by Ms Page is one of my all time favorite medical references. It is set up an in very clear easy to understand format. If you have a specific problem or health issue, she talks about the causes, symptoms, and what could be done using a holistic approach in additional to traditional medicines. She suggests ways to cure some aliments without druges, which is excellent because drugs normaly treat the symptoms not the cause. If you have a problem that is linked to excessive sugar in take, it is far more beneficial for you to reduce the sugar intakes, instead of relying on, hard core medication, in some instances. It's refressing, and I feel it is an excellent supplment to your regular doctor. Everyone should have this book in their home, because it even points out things for young adults. One of the best things in her book, is while she suggest herbal remedies, the back of the book has a listing of where you can obtain the herbal remedies. Even more exciting than that is she has her own extensive line of herbal products. Therefore when she recommends something you can call her company to obtain her suggested alternatives. I can't say enought, it is truely and outstanding reference. And it is done in layman terms, so there is no confusion. I Would highly recommend this book even if you have no health concerns. Simply and Excellent work. The value of the book far exceeds to price, and if this is the only medical reference book you have in your home it will suffice!
