Works for everyday stresses as well as trauma

Healing From Post - Traumatic Stress: A Workbook For Recovery by Monique Lang, LCSW, offers specific mind/body techniques and coping mechanisms to deal with obsessive thoughts, repressed feelings and reactive behaviors as a result of trauma. The book is designed as a workbook and has lots of steps to follow, places to write insights, and areas for notes to use as your own personal reference journal for healing. A wonderful book!

In her second book, Healing From Post-Traumatic Stress: A Workbook for Recovery, Monique Lang again provides a thoughtful and insightful tool with which to aid the process of healing from trauma. In a format similar to her first book, Journey to Wholeness: Healing From the Trauma of Rape, Lang's workbook sensitively provides factual information, but also recognizes the personal nature of trauma and creates oportunities for activities that may be individualized by the user of this book. This caring book provides supportive and constructive assistance to those healing from trauma and assures the reader that he/she is not alone and that there is no one "right" way to recovery. Another superb book from this author!

Outstanding book delivers what it promises - healing

As a therapist I felt that this book was invaluable to my clients who were overwhelmed by traumatic experiences. This book is easy for the reader to follow. It gives clarity and understanding of the overpowering emotions that do not go away, and provides effective steps to guide us through the process of healing. I rarely recommend books on this subject, but this book is truly helpful.
