Based on a real-life motorcycle accident in 2008, Head-Butting Kangaroos is a dry-comedy drama with partial auto-biographic content. Following Dave's arrival in the town of Walcha in New South Wales, Australia, he gradually becomes aware of events that have been occurring in the town.This play was created with the intention of providing material for students to create adaptations without copyright issues being involved. Non-commercial adaptations created for educational purposes are permitted from this play.Included in the book are exercises for students involved in Adaptation Studies. Suggested mediation and adaptation tasks involving parts of the play can be used in the classroom as required, as may additional tasks created by teachers.
