superb contemporary drama

Hannah Callahan is euphoric as her adopted baby Isabelle Zhu Ming has finally arrived in Texas. She looks forward to raising her daughter in her hometown of Summit. Hannah's friend thirty-five years old Joe Daugherty helped her pick up the ten month old child over from Taiwan. She believes he would make the perfect daddy to her child, but knows the famous world traveling writer would never settle down. Joe on the other hand has fallen in love with mother and child; he begins to wonder if with Hannah and Isabelle he could finally belong to a family; something has not felt he was part of in a long time. This is a superb contemporary drama as Hannah fulfills her dream with the adoption (over the opposition of her dad who insists marriage before the baby carriage); but now that her wish has been granted, she must adapt to raising an infant. Her falling in love with rolling stone Joe just complicates her suddenly complex life as she learns that babies nuke lifestyles. Fans will enjoy this strong tale of love as baby makes two and Joe might make three. Harriet Klausner
