Great ideas, so-so recipes

This book has been a must-keep on my shelf for years. It is loaded with great ideas on how to use up what otherwise might sit around until it goes bad. There is even an index by quantity of item available. The recipes I have tried are so-so; not excellent, but not bad. However, I have used the suggestions as a starting point to track down some other, better recipes.
