Haikus on Bald Eagles

This anthology comprises more than 80 haikus about bald eagles and features two distinctive pairs of bald eagles, one at Decorah, Iowa, and another at Lake Carnegie, in Princeton, New Jersey. All of the haikus are originally written for them. This work categorized them according to the twelve months and the four seasons (plus the "new year" which constitutes an independent 'season' because of its importance to Japanese culture). This book presents each haiku in both Japanese and English, along with the identification of the season word-an essential element in haiku-so that non-Japanese-speaking readers can fully appreciate them.
