Pretty Good

GoLive 5 for Dummies is a good book for beginners but not very good for intermediate and advanced. It is not a book you can crawl into bed and read for pleasure. It gave me a good idea about web pages,etc.

Perfect for what it is intended for

This is only the second "Dummies" book I have ever purchased. Being as I was having a lot of trouble with the manual for GoLive 5.0, I decided to get this book to get me over a few hurdles. Mainly the interface was quite confusing compared to Dreamweaver, which I have used for 3 years. This book is not for the advanced user, or even for the user of Adobe GoLive 4.0. This book is for the complete beginner to web design or the Dreamweaver (or comparable editor) user who is finding the transition difficult. By spending 3 days with this book and Adobe GoLive 5.0, I was almost back up to full speed again. The text flows nicely and is well written, in a concise order. All in all this book lives up to its name 100%, because I felt like a Dummy until I read it. There is NO Dynamic Link text within it's pages, but I would expect one of the more advanced books to cover this in depth, not a "Dummies" book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is having problems finding pallettes or features that were easy to find in your current editor, or if you're new to web design. It takes the manual and puts it all into a more understandable format, while opening a few doors the manual left out.
