Arlyn is a childlike, always positive, tornado of talentless song and dance. Zev is a carefully reserved, frigid personality that constantly has a negative thing to say. While Zev guards the Mark of Happiness at his museum and lives a structured, systematic life, Arlyn resides in an abandoned church and lives day to day. Upon discovery, Arlyn is found to have the only female gargoyle created in decades, yet her compassionate, friendly bond with GG raises alarms for the mysterious elder generation in charge. Something is clearly amiss when Kirby and Jocelyn attempt to send Arlyn to her death before ever meeting her, and when Arlyn once longed for others of her kind to call family, she finds herself the odd one out again. Arlyn draws Zev's unlikely alliance, and after crafting a clever, desperate lie to preserve her life, the two of them work to unravel truth and lie and unwittingly pit themselves against their own kind in a revolution that threatens centuries of tradition and promises radical change for both Gargoyles and Golem-Makers.
