A book for every precious child...

This is my FAVORITE for my children, and theirs as well (and we have no shortage of great books!). In fact, I am online to order a new one because ours is in shreds! I also love the gospel trac by the same title. This book is a perfect gift for a friend's child, or for your very own~ communicating a vital truth that we all want our children to grow up with. I am so impressed with this author's talent (in word, art and heart) that I am excited to purchase some of her other titles as well, (esp. the kindness one, will that help curb a few of our struggles between the lil' sisters?? worth a try...) Ok, I'm a fan! :-) (with little fans chasing after me!~ thanks, Debby, if you read this~ we'd be honored to meet you someday! :-)

Wonderful Children's Book!

Yet another jewel by Debby Anderson! We love this book about God's precious relationship with children. What a wonderful introduction for young ones to the character and love of God. Such an exciting message for children, to know that a great big God knows them by name! The illustrations are adorable, too! Our family recommends all of Ms. Anderson's books!

A Must Have!

This whole series by Anderson is terrific. Each book provides solid theology in easy to understand words & kid friendly pictures. My 3 year old enjoys them and I enjoy the Truth that's being planted in her heart & mind.

Attributes of God for a Child's Understanding

Woven throughout "God Knows My Name" are the attributes of God and what they may look like on a child's level, in day to day life. Especially emphasized are God's sovereignty and His immanence. "God sees me when I go out to play! yay! God is too wonderful for me to see Him now, but He sees me!" Each page has unobtrusive Scripture references for parents to look up with their children, or to encourage older children to read for themselves. While I grew up with the Eloise Wilkin's tender pictures in children's books, I really like author/illustrator Debby Anderson's cheerful, bold style. The book is energetic, without being overwhelming. I'm happy to have this book on my children's bookshelf. And with the theme of the attributes of God, I think it would be an especially fine gift for the children of new Believers.

Short but Good

Personally, I think that it is short but good. And is recommended for ages 2 to 5. It will tell you in many different wys of how God knows everything. -by J, age 8 (posted by his mother)
