Thank you Tom Crider

Dear Tom I won't do your book the disservice of waffling on about it. Basically, your book really touched my heart. I laughed when you laughed, pondered when you pondered and cried when you cried. Your use of alternating first person and third person, along with the variety and quality of sources for your quotes filled me with admiration. I don't think it would have been possible to illuminate this topic more skilfully than your book. My life has been enhanced by sharing your journey. May your heart find the peace that lies behind all appearances, even the death of your beloved Gretchen. Rinchen Choesang

It touched me where and when I needed it most.

I felt that Tom Crider walked with me during the days I read his book. He became someone who had already experienced many of the same thoughts and feelings I have experienced these last few weeks, with one exception: I do believe in God. And now that I have read Mr. Crider's book, I can't help but feel that he, too, shelters in a retreat somewhere in his own soul, a belief in a God that doesn't take us away, but receives us when we go and provides those of us who are left, solace in forms as surprising and diverse as heavy rocks and whispering breezes.

Freedom to Grieve while searching for a Way.

I personally have not lost a child but am an only child who has lost her parents. I have many friends who have lost young and adult children and want to have each of them read this positive account of the grieving process. The hardest thing to do is find the right words. Tom Crider's words say it and leave you believing in rainbows.
