Gardening, Practical and Poetic

Philosopher and dirt-gardener Lacy says this was to be two chapters in a larger book, but these two plant families ran away with him. He urges growing plants on the upper and lowest planes as well as the usual 1 - 5-foot ones. In his elegant prose he tells benefits and drawbacks of various ones, including a chapter "Beautiful Thugs" of things that run wild that entice him, nevertheless.
