Daniel "Del" Salman built the most dangerous instrument of the second Manhattan Project: a contactless coupler that touches the human signal directly. He built it to specification, on a schedule, for men who say effects when they mean people. What none of them understood is that a machine like that, taken deep enough, does not read a mind.
