This is an emotional story .............

Found: His Perfect Wife by Marie Ferrarella Silhouette Special Edition # 1310 - March 2000 Book # 3 - The Alaskans Luc did something totally out of character; he told a lie. Not just any lie; a lie to save face. His best friend ran off and married his fiancée, and when Luc runs into Jacob and has a few drinks with him, his tongue gets loose and he blurts out that he too is married to a wonderful woman. Now Jacob and his wife (Luc's former fiancée) want to come home to Hades to sell the family property and to meet Luc's ladylove. Not sure how he's going to handle this situation, Luc decides to take a few days away and travels to Seattle; where he promptly comes to the aid of his cabby and gets bopped on the head. When Luc wakes up, he sees a wonderful angel, who says he's his cabby but Luc doesn't remember anything at all. Alison feels so guilty. Because of her, this Good Samaritan was hurt and now he can't remember who he is and the muggers took off with his wallet and suitcase. When Luc's memory returns, so does his memory of his little dilemma of needing a wife. Alison is a recent nursing grad and is looking for a place to intern to get her certification. Luc tells her that Shayne, the only doctor in Hades, is looking for a nurse. He also blurts out his wife problem. Alison has always wanted to work in a place where she could make a difference, and if she could help the man who saved her life too, she was game. Only she wasn't prepared for the longings for a real marriage that she'd have. She knew that her fears from the past would steal this too. This is a particularly emotional story. Luc's betrayal by the woman he thought he loved and his best friend opens his heart to see that Alison has some deep emotional scars of her own. Ms. Ferrarella handles Alison's past with the sensitivity it deserves. The scene where Alison opens up to Luc is intensely emotional and healing begins for both of them. This is a nice round up for first Hades, Alaska trilogy. I'm looking forward to reading about Alison's brothers and sister, in the next trilogy. I'm hoping that Ms. Ferrarella's book out in August `06; The Prodigal M.D. Returns will be the story of Ben, Shayne's brother from Book # 1. I think it will be fun to hear how his story turns out. (I wrote this review in early 2006, YES, The Prodigal M.D. Returns, is Ben's story.) The Alaskans.. Third book set in Hades, Alaska, part of 'The Alaskans' series. Description from the book back cover: Unexpected marriage ... 3RD INSTALLMENT FROM HADES, ALASKA

Really should be a 4 plus.Jean-Luc, cousin and partner to "Ike" LeBlanc has taken off for Seattle for a short vacation.In coming to the rescue of his lady cab-driver, Alison Quintano, he receives a hit on the head and can't remember who or where he is. Great start to a good story.Alison feels obliged to take Luc to see a doctor, turns out to be her brother Jimmy Quintano. After dealing with the police she takes Luc with her to return her cab to her oldest brother, Kevin. He owns the cab company.The Quintanos make Luc feel welcome while he tries to recover his memory. Alison feels protective of Luc and agrees to accompany him back to Hades, Alaska. She is a nurse and Luc knows that Dr. Shayne Kerrigan is in dire need of a nurse.WOW! it just keeps getting better - As Luc helps Alison with her problem and she helps him with his. He has turned out to be the most honest man she has ever met. And she just can't get over how every one in Hades is willing to support Luc in his need for a pretend wife.Alison meets Sydney, Shayne's wife and Marta, Ike's wife and slowly falls in love with Hades and its people, especially Luc.You should enjoy these series of books if you like light reading. Now onto the next installment with Dr. James Quintano and April Yearling in "THE M.D. MEETS HIS MATCH" in Hades.

Another excellent read from an awesome author.

Ms. Ferrarella does an excellent job in this story of an amnesiac turned husband-to-be. The characters are very well done, and she always has great support characters too. I am working toward finding all of Ms. Ferrarella's works and this is another keeper to add to my collection.
